WhatsApp at the center, not bolted on.
Kanesh runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform: conversations in a shared inbox, templates with images, video or documents, and campaigns to people who opted in.
Illustration: a WhatsApp template being built in Kanesh. The header switches to an image, the body text gets a personalised first name, two buttons are added, and the preview on the right updates as you type. The template is submitted to Meta for review and then shows as approved.
Meta reviews every template before it can be sent.

Connection
Connect the number you already use.
Start on the official WhatsApp Business Platform, bring your existing 360dialog number, or keep the WhatsApp Business app running on the same number.
- Official WhatsApp Business Platform: inbox, templates and campaigns.
- Works with your existing 360dialog number.
- Keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number (Coexistence), where Meta allows it.
- Bring up to 180 days of WhatsApp history when you connect with Coexistence. Meta sends it in phases.

Campaigns
Campaigns to people who said yes.
Build an audience from contacts, tags and Shopify or Klaviyo data, keep only the people with WhatsApp consent, then schedule it and control the send speed. Replies come back to the shared inbox.
- WhatsApp campaigns to opted-in audiences. Meta's messaging limits apply.
- Automatic follow-ups when a customer goes quiet, respecting quiet hours.
- See which orders came after a campaign click, with the method shown: attributed vs estimated.

Consent
Consent you can show.
Every opt-in is stored with the exact text the person accepted and how they gave it. When someone asks where their consent came from, you can show exactly that.
- Methods include a WhatsApp button or keyword, a web form confirmed by the person's own WhatsApp message, an import you declare, and Shopify or Klaviyo sync.
- Opt-outs sync back to Shopify.
- Your legal basis stays yours: Kanesh keeps the evidence.

The 24-hour window
The 24-hour rule, explained plainly.
After a customer's last message, you have 24 hours to reply with any message you like. After that, WhatsApp only lets you restart the conversation with a template Meta has approved.
- Every new message from the customer restarts the 24 hours.
- Outside the window, send one of your approved templates.
- The same rule applies to the AI and to your team.

Why WhatsApp-native
Built for WhatsApp, not adapted to it.
Many helpdesks were designed around email and added WhatsApp later as one more inbox. In Kanesh, WhatsApp is where support, sales and campaigns meet.
Support and campaigns on one number
Campaign replies land in the same inbox and the same thread as support, so the conversation keeps its history.
Templates, consent and sends together
Template approval status, media headers and the consent behind every recipient live next to the campaign.
An AI that answers on WhatsApp
It replies with your policies and live Shopify order data after verifying the customer, and hands off when it shouldn't answer.
Don't start from zero
With Coexistence, where Meta allows it, you keep the app and bring up to 180 days of history.
Good to know
The fine print, up front.
WhatsApp is Meta's platform. These rules come from Meta, and they apply to every provider.
Meta approves templates
Every template goes to Meta for review before you can send it. Kanesh shows the status; Meta decides.
Meta sets the sending limits
Meta limits how many people you can message. Those limits apply whichever provider you use.
WhatsApp fees are Meta's
Meta's WhatsApp fees are billed separately from Kanesh and passed through according to what you send.
Coexistence has limits
It works where Meta allows it, and history arrives in phases, up to 180 days.
